Hi Community
Can anyone help me on how to group my legend in ArcGIS Pro Layouts to show one symbology for several layers? In this example I have 3 polygons I want to only fill one line in the layout "Protected nature", and as you can see in the image below it groups the three layers with their own respective symbology into a single layer shown in the legend (same for Protected water areas).
A couple of options.
One, since the legend draws based on the symbology in your map, give all the layers the same symbology, rename one layer the desired name and then remove the remaining two layers from the legend list.
Two, group the layers and then use the group name heading option.
Remember your legend symbology is based on your map symbology so no matter what solution you choose, the solution will have to involve adjusting the map based symbology if you do not want three separate symbols appearing.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for the suggestions Eugene.
I would have loved if it could make the nice looking symbology where it grouped the visible layers in the map view based on a group and making it fill only one line, but your suggestion is a nice work around that I think I'll go with.
Thanks again.
