Hello! I am quite new to ARC GIS. I am in college and taking an introductory class. I am working on a final project that is mapping toxic manufacuting plants world wide. The data set that I am working from came from a collection of data inputs on google sheets. There are some issues with the spreadsheet that I am trying to work out in excel. From excel I have been exporting the data as a CSV file, and then bringing it into ARC GIS Pro. I have been having some trouble with creating proportional symbology for the CO2 Emissions in my data set. For some reason, it is not should up under feild options. Only the lattitude and longitude of the points are. I made a new table within Pro that puts the CO2 values (which are in metric tons) in a numerical format, but for some reason they are still not showing up as an option. Does anyone know what the problem may be? I hope that this is enough information, thank you!
I might be misreading your comments but you need to create a point layer from your table first using geoprocessing tool XY Table to Point.
You can then apply Proportional symbology to the layer for display based on the CO2 field.
