Cannot add field

I cannot add a new field column to my attribute table. It is greyed out in all menu areas.

Sorry, Brian.  I didn't mean to insinuate that this would get around the bug.  No getting around that until it is fixed.  You can use the GP tool if that is the workaround to the bug, but as I said in my comment "You're right, you can't add the gp tool to the QAT."

Still having these issues in 2024. And none of these solutions worked. I really wished ESRI didn't have a monopoly over GIS software. I'm very tired of sifting through ESRI solutions and community notes that do not address the problem, nor do anything long-time to fix their buggy software. Their training videos and solution articles have taught me nothing. I have had to teach myself how to use their broken software from the start.
