When I insert a map frame into Layout I can not modify the background of the frame. Previously I had no problems modifying, not sure what options I turned on or off.

Hi! In ArcGIS Pro 3.1 the option to use the map background color as the map background was added. When this is checked, you can't modify the background because it's pulled from the map. If you uncheck this option on the Element pane you should be able to modify the background again.

That's it! Thanks so much
hello,
we recently updated to arc gis pro version 3.3.2. and we notice that the box is standard checked.
is there a way (can't find it in settings) to leave the box standard unchecked.
our designers need to change background color of map frames on a regular base.

I have the same problem but Use Map background Color is Ticked!!!
Thanks

@KonstantinosPapasavvas I'm sorry you are having the same problem. If I'm understanding correctly, the options are disabled for you while Use map background color is checked?
If so, that is the correct behavior. When that option is checked you can't modify the map frame background because the map background is acting as the map frame background. If you uncheck the option, the properties should be enabled again.
