Hi there!
I am trying to calculate the width of an irregular polygon (the polygon represents the channel of a river).
Is there a tool that can automatically calculate the width of the polygon at a given interval?
For example, to calculate the width of the polygon every 100 meters and then average the width of the polygon.
I have tried creating a line in the center of the polygon and then creating equal interval transects from that line. The problem is that I cannot make the length of the transect equal to the width of the polygon.
Here is an example of the polygon I'm working with.
Thanks for your help !

I can recommend to use XTools Pro Calculate Polygon Width tool. It does what you want.

I ran out of time for testing but maybe this will help (?): How To: Split Polygon Features into Sectors with Equal Arc Lengths in ArcGIS Pro (esri.com)
Good luck.
