Hi! Just a stupid question: what kind of feature and symbols do you use for (river) bridges?
Points? lines?
Do you create your own symbol or do you use something already in a symbols package?
Thanks in advance,
Marco
link didn't open...
But there are a few tools if you have an advanced licence
Create Overpass—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop
Create Underpass—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop
And I found this untested link to downloadable styles
https://esri-styles.maps.arcgis.com/home/index.html main link
https://esri-styles.maps.arcgis.com/home/gallery.html?view=grid&sortOrder=desc&sortField=numviews
The only bridge symbol I have found out-of-the-box is a font symbol for point locations:
I'm going to go out on a limb here and just say that for such a sophisticated program, it's pretty astounding that "simple" tools do not exist for assigning bridge symbology. How many agencies around the world are using GIS to draw infrastructure (bridges and roads). Why does a simple bridge symbol NOT exist...?
You can create a bridge symbol by inserting a shape from the ESRI AMFM Sewer font or build one using the symbol to the right of the bridge symbol in the graphic.
