ArcGIS Pro PAT: Running tests with Custom Configuration and Authentication

Hi everyone,

We are currently performing performance tests using the ArcGIS Pro Performance Assessment Tool (PAT) v18. We have structured our testing process into several stages:

  1. ArcGIS Pro startup only.

  2. ArcGIS Pro startup with a sample project.

  3. ArcGIS Pro startup with a specific customer project.

Our final step is to test the ArcGIS Pro startup using the customer project with a Custom Add-in installed. To load the specific environment, ArcGIS Pro must be launched using the following command: "C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\bin\ArcGISPro.exe" /config:CustomConfiguration

The issue we are facing is that this configuration triggers a mandatory Portal login prompt. We would like to know how to properly configure the PTStart command to include the /config switch and how to handle the login requirement to allow the automated test to proceed.

Has anyone successfully integrated custom configurations or automated logins within the PAT framework?

Best regards, Virgilio
