Some of our users regularly work with ArcGIS Server feature services in their projects. This is currently still a stand-alone ArcGIS Server.
Quite often, when a user opens a project, the feature service layers show up empty, with a red exclamation mark representing a broken data link. Apparently then something is off with the authentication to the feature service. One would expect that in such a case Pro would come up with a logon window. It sometimes does but often it does not.
We found some workarounds, like creating an ArcGIS Server connection to the server in the Favorites in the Catalog Pane, and loading the project afterwards, but this also works sometimes, but not always.
We want to work more with services instead of direct connections to the database, but this is hampering our efforts.
Working in 3.5.3 now.
Any ideas about this?
