ARCGIS Pro crashes when browse/folder button pushed

I just purchased an individual license for ARCGIS Pro 3.1 and installed it on my machine. I started to go through the tutorials available and ran into the above problem - every time I push the browse/folder button the program crashes. Needless to say, that problem makes my purchase useless. Here are a couple of screen captures to illustrate.

This one occurs when I tried to change the default location for projects.

And this one occurs when I try to add folders to a project.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Just to finish this topic, it turns out that the Roxio CD burner does something with the file system and conflicts with ArcGIS Pro. Once I uninstalled the Roxio program, I was able to use ArcGIS Pro normally.

The same thing happens to me when making folder connection in 3.1.

Thanks for posting the videos. I followed what you did but I did not see any problems.

What version of Windows have you installed ArcGIS Pro on to ?

Edition Windows 11 Home
Version 22H2
Installed on ‎11/‎22/‎2022
OS build 22621.1413
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22639.1000.0

That's from the Windows System menu. I have the most up to date video drivers. Need any more info?

@JimCrotteau do you have details on what Roxio product you had installed that was conflicting with ArcGIS Pro? Thank you!

Hi @JimCrotteau

I tried following your steps however, could not reproduce the issue in ArcGIS Pro 3.1 (Windows 10). To get more information, we can check the crash dump files.

Where are the ArcGIS crash dump files saved when an error report is generated?

https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/faq-where-are-the-arcgis-crash-dump-files-saved-when-a...

We can also set up sdeintercepts to get in depth information.

Set up an SDEINTERCEPT log file on a client machine for ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Server

Thanks,

As best I can determine, I am enclosing the two dump files related to the screen captures in my original post.

I do not seem to be able to attach the dump files to this post. Can you tell me how to get them to you?

I will also look at the post you sent regarding sdeintercepts.

I followed the directions in the sdeintercept post you sent and recreated the crash scenario. There were no files created in the \temp\sde_client directory.

The files should have been created. Can you try to set the variables again? You can attach the dump files in a zipped folder to your post. I can try to analyze them.

I would also suggest to check the memory used by the application while browsing the directory. Also check if any drivers could be upgraded (especially graphics drivers).

I set the variables two more times, recreated the program crashes and checked the temp\sde-client directory. There were no files in the directory.

I have attached a zip file of the two dump files related to the crashes in my original message.

Thanks for your help.
