ArcGIS Pro 3.6.0 Polygons Refusing to Snap to each other

I am having a horrible time with this - have tried everything Grok can think of. I even uninstalled and reinstalled ArcPro.

Here's what's going on:  I create a polygon in a layer. I copy that polygon and paste it (same layer). I click "finish" and "clear" and "save" and F2 just for good measure.

I need to move that polygon so that it is perfectly beside the other, vertices snapped.  Snapping is on, all the snap-to's (vertices, edges) are on, the List by Snapping in the contents pane shows checkmarks beside the layer.

Editing is on.  I click on "Select > Polygon" and select one of them. I click Modify, and go to "Move."  The little square magnet thing snaps to my mouse in the corner of the rectangle no problem and I can drag the shape around.  It does not snap to the other rectangle's corner. No matter what I do.

I've done it before!  I have no idea what happened or what I'm not doing.  I read another forum post to recalculate the Spatial Index.  Did that.

If anyone could help me, I would appreciate it more than you know.

If you move vertices, does the snapping engage?

Doing some quick testing in Pro 3.3.1, it looks like snapping edges when moving whole polygons likely isn't supported.  Vertices snap fine, but obviously that's going to distort the shape.

Tangentially, I'm curious what your intended workflow is here.  It's possible this might not even be the optimal method of getting what you ultimately need.

Thank you so much for your reply.  You are so right!  I guess a corner of the rectangle isn't really a "vertice" like it appears to be. I needed to move the anchor which is the vertice!

Here's what I did to solve it:  Copied the rectangle polygon, pasted. Saved. Selected. Modify-Move.  Come to find out, the dot in the center is an anchor. I hovered over it, held control key while I moved it to a corner.  This created the anchor-vertice I needed at the corner (the anchor snaps to the corner!).  From there, I could just grab it and move, and it snapped to the neighboring rectangle beautifully!

4 hours, an uninstall, reinstall, and lots of hairs pulled out.  We won!  Thank you
