I am still experiencing crashing issues with symbology within ArcGIS pro. I have installed all of the patches and upgrades. Does anyone have any suggestions on solutions. I have the most current drivers installed and I had someone from ESRI check my system out at the last conference I attended.
Can you elaborate on the symbology setup you have, maybe with some screenshots?
One thing to try is a How To: Perform an ArcGIS pro Soft Reset - sometimes this will fix any strange/weird/bizarre issues...
@TamsenWaldron
Let's see if we can dig into it a bit.
Do you use styles that are saved outside of the Pro environment e.g. a .stylx on a network?
Do you use svg or custom image samples that are not stored locally?
Open the Windows Task Manager, go to Performance, and select the GPU tab.
Depending on your monitor size it may help to pin Task manager to the top (overlaying Pro so you can see it all the time).
Keep an eye on it and see if it crashes as soon as Pro creates a little peak in the GPU usage.
These blips are from doing some basic colours on the states of Australia.
Something more complex may create a bit more greenhouse gasses 🙂
It gets more complicated when you are on a laptop (assumed from your statement that you showed your config to someone at a conference but it could just be that you have a Minisforum MS-S1 Max and a portable monitor 🙂 ).
The mix of drivers and handovers when you have a device with multiple GPUs (embedded and discrete) can make many applications unstable.
Have a look in the device utilities and see if there is a setting to enable and pin the best GPU. Asus and MSI have it in their power profile custom settings.
Check what the current known stable driver versions are for your device. Nvidia has had a few duds this year so having the latest is not always best. Hardware integrators may lag behind what Nvidia/AMD/Intel offer - for good and bad reasons.
.Net 8.21 was released not so long ago and subjectively fixed one or two niggles in Pro for me.
From other posts it seems that manually installing patches are better than using the auto-update funtion inside Pro. Try it with 3.5.4.
Make sure to record your Favorites and export your toolbar configuration before you do a soft reset.
A reset removes all customisations from your profile and it can be fiddly to get specific items back from just the copied/renamed folders (per the above instructions).
I save 99% of my Favourites items on a network share or on a local drive not controlled by Pro - you can get them out of the "C:\Users\You\AppData\Roaming\Esri\ArcGISPro\Favorites" folder.
Add them back using "Add Folder" under "Add Item"
Then, under "Options > Customize the Ribbon" you can export your current Ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar configs.
The fun part is that the config file is just an XML file so you can use something like XMLNotepad to tweak a few things. I used it to split my config into QAT & Custom Ribbon objects to troubleshoot something else by selectively importing parts of my config.
I do the same with my favourite symbology symbols and styles - all saved to a location on the network.
This makes it so much easier to swap between machines or to test Pro with a new user account in Windows.
I've lodged an Idea that Esri should create a config/profile backup and validation tool to make troubleshooting and fixing these hiccups in behaviour a lot easier and more efficient. Please upvote if you think it could help people in your position.

I just had an issue with Error Inspector too. So, something is wrong for sure.
