ArcGIS Pro 3.0.2: The ArcGIS Pro catalogue fails to detect the Revit file of *.rte format,

I couldn’t figure out how the Revit file of *.rte format can be inserted to Pro. It appears that the catalogue of The ArcGIS Pro is not able to recognize this format.

What could be the issue here?

isn't *.rte a template and you need to save it as a *.rvt (eg., a project).

You really need to check the help files for your version of Pro

Pro 3.0.x only supports ... Revit file versions 2016–2022

What is BIM data—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

so you need to upgrade Pro since it came out in 2022, hence couldn't possibly support revit 2023 😉

The rvt file fails to be inserted and ends up with “unsupported BIM file” error.

What could be the issue?

The Help indicates that version dependence might be the problem and explain the error message:

ArcGIS Pro supports Revit file versions 2018–2023. . . . Attempting to use unsupported BIM file versions will invoke the error message: Unsupported BIM file.

The Revit 2024 is not supported in ArcGIS Pro while there is no way to downgrade the Revit 2024 to lower version.

How to resolve this dilemma?

Can the source software not save to a previous version?

Greetings @JamalNUMAN

You should be able to convert the file to an earlier version (2018 to 2023) as described in the following article:

How to save an AutoCAD drawing to a previous or older file format

Hope that helps 🙂

ArcGIS 3.0.2 appears to fail to support the Revit 2023 as per the screenshot below
