Hi Jamal,

There are two edits you can make to Dimension features.

1.  In the Attribute pane, change the Dimension style to a style that users a smaller font, different color and arrow styles, etc

2.  With the Edit Vertices tool move the dimension value and/or reposition the end vertex.

Hopefully one of these will be useful.

Thanks,
Jennifer

I couldn’t figure out how to edit the style of the dimension. From where the style is created\managed?

Styles are managed at the feature class level. In Catalog, right click on the feature class and choose 'Dimension Feature Class Properties' to open the Feature Class Properties dialog.  In the dialog and you can modify existing styles (to create new styles) or add a new style directly.

But how to resize the arrows and text to fit my drawing as per the screenshots below? I’m struggling in controlling the sizes

Try expanding the arrow dropdown and choose 'Format point symbol...'.

Unfortunately there is not a way to interactively modify arrows and text.  It needs to be done with the styles.

I’m still struggling with the dimensions in a number of issues:

  • Why the “reference scale” is “grayed out” and thus can’t be edited?
  • Why the style can’t be edited but rather needs to be copied first in order to be edited?
  • How to get a style that is consistent with the elements of the map? I failed to resize the elements of the dimension

Do you encourage me to post this issue as an idea in the idea section? Currently, there is no way to edit the created style, instead, a new style is created which adds more headache
