I went to add a basemap in ArcGIS Desktop and received the following error message: "The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send." I am prevented from adding a basemap and accessing ArcGIS Online.
I have ArcGIS version 10.8.2; and Windows 10 Pro version 21H1.
I think this has something to do with the TLS 1.2 patch, but I can't find the appropriate patch download for the version of ArcGIS and Windows that are installed on my computer.
Any help is appreciated!
