Why do we have to keep clicking "Find more items..."?

In ArcGIS Pro, when trying to overwrite a web layer, why do we have to click "Find more items..." multiple times just to see all the items in a folder?
Why doesn't it just list all the items? This is extremely annoying and a waste of time.
Someone suggested it might have something to do with caching. But I have a hard time believing that caching a list of items in a folder would be an issue for Esri's newest 64-bit software.
