Generate Transects Along Lines tool - add "By Percentage" transect placement option
The Generate Points Along Lines tool has a handy function: you can select whether you'd like to set a distance interval or a percentage interval:
The Generate Transects Along Lines tool lacks such a setting; you can specify a distance only.
It would be useful to have a percentage setting in this tool. I'm trying to divide line segments of varying lengths each into tenths.
My workaround for now is to use the Generate Points Along Line tool and specifying the percentage there, using the Split edit tool to divide the lines by these points (Divide tool was giving me issues), and then running the Generate Transects Along Line tool with an impossibly high distance between transects, "Generate at start and end" checked, and finally running Delete Identical on my output table (since there are two transects at each location - a start and an end.
