Is it possible to have the eyedropper work across layouts and maps. It would be able to sample the color of a map in one layout and apply it to a feature in another.
This is almost possible. You can activate a map frame in a layout view and access the eyedropper but since it greys out all the layout elements including other map frames, the eye dropper tool can only see the greyed-out colors.
I like how activating the map frame greys everything else out. But it might be helpful if the eyedropper could see through this artificial transparency.
