Simulations (e.g., for heavy rain or flooding) always reflect the current actual situation, but we would like to see not only the current status after, say, 1 hour of simulation, but also the highest water level per pixel within that 1 hour.
This will enable us to identify areas where the water level may be slightly higher at some point during the simulation, but where the water may have already drained away by the end of the simulation.
I am aware that I could basically set the simulation as a CRF with a timestamp every few minutes to see where small accumulations of water are at that point in time. However, we need the result as a single raster file.
