Currently, when you add CAD data from DXF, DWG, etc to a map, Pro will assign a Unique Values symbology to the layer.

Create an new global option where we can set the default to be Single Symbol symbology for any CAD data added to Pro.

I never use the Esri default in my typical workflow and every time I use CAD data I have to go through the process of changing the symbology.
I would love to be more efficient for my clients and this setting will help achieve that.

Hi @RTPL_AU

Thanks for sharing this idea regarding symbology and working with CAD data. For this item, you can take advantage of .lyrx files to override defaults and bring about the desired symbology:

https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/cad/using-an-lyrx-file-for-cad-layers.htm

Here is an additional resource that may be of use when working with Civil 3D drawings:

Hi @MichaelDavidsonPM

Thank you for that.

Can you create default lyrx files for 'vanilla' dwg or dxf data?
From what I can see in the links it applies to Civil3d structured inputs.

With the key concept of the Idea being to improve efficiency I still think having a tick-box in Options would be great.

By the way - in the first link they've spelt lyrx wrong.
