Add more file types to ‘picture marker symbol’

Currently only .bmp and .emf are accepted in 'picture marker symbol'.

.bmp’s aren’t that useful as it doesn’t support transparency and are large in file size and not many programs create emf.

 

I propose adding .gif and .png (both with transparency allowed) and .jpg to the 'picture marker symbol'

I agree, photoshop no longer supports .emf output so how am I supposed to make a custom symbol that isn't square/rectangular??

At least as of version 10.3 bmp, emf, png, jpeg, jpg and gif file types are supported as picture marker symbols.

I realize this is an old idea, but figured I'd make a note here. "I propose adding .gif and .png (both with transparency allowed) and .jpg to the 'picture marker symbol'"
