When is Q1 2026 ArcGIS Online update happening? Tonight? (Feb 25 2026?)

Hi, from web searches, it seems the Q1 2026 ArcGIS Online update was scheduled for Feb 25, 2026 (today - at least at one point it appears to have been scheduled for that day).  Is it happening?  It would be nice to know ahead of time when such updates will occur.  Thanks.

According to an automatic email I got from Esri, the update should be taking place from 5 pm to midnight (PT) tonight. It also says, "ArcGIS Online updates are applied automatically with no expected downtime."

Thanks for the reply.  Wow, I am an ArcGIS Online and My Esri software admin, have multiple emails connected to Esri, My Esri, etc. and received no notification such as you describe.  Over the years I've noticed it seems like some Esri email notifications selectively go to some people in the intended audience but not others.

Same here.  I am the admin of at least 20 AGOL portals and publisher in another 30 and have never received an email telling me when the update is going to happen. 

There is always damage control to do after an update and we have to put on extra staff overnight make sure everything is running as expected when the clients come online and notify them if we can't get things fixed in time.

I ask the same question 3 times a year...  "Where do i find out when the update is going to happen??"

@Scott_Sambell , @Will , @CDFWGISAdmin check if you're subscribed to "Esri General Product Announcements" (what the announcement email calls this list).

To check, go to My Esri, then "Profile & Settings" (upper right), then "Subscription Preferences," and then you can enter your email to then get an email that will allow you to change your preferences.

Hi, thanks @NicoleJohnson  - I checked and Product News etc. was already checked, so again, it seems some notifications do not get sent or delivered to some users such as myself despite the proper account settings (?)

Hi @NicoleJohnson . Same here.  Those two checkboxes were already ticked for my main admin user. I regularly check my junk mail so its not going there. I think there is an issue with the mailing system.
