Maybe this and this will answer some questions? It looks like they use the census data.

Thanks for your reply.

I have read these pages and yes, it seems census data are used by the GeoEnrichment analysis service.
But I think a clear reference to the data producer is needed for this tool to be reliable and really useful.

Any information I have missed out ?
