I made a map in ArcGIS Online using an esri basemap and a service from my own server - a simple point file. I saved the Web Map and decided to Share it as a Web Application. I choose a template. I downloaded it to my server and set it as per the instructions.

If I look at the application from a browser on the server I can see it just fine. However If I look at it from my desktop, I cannot see it the browser window is empty, not even the esri basemap. There are no errors.

The Web services and the map services are located on the same server.

The Web Map

The Web Application

Thanks.

I am able to view your web application. In Firefox, however, I do see a browser warning that the site contains "unauthenticated content". Could it be that your browser is somehow restricting the display?

Mike,

I went to an other computer running IE7and the Web application comes up just fine. On my computer in IE8, still nothing. This is coming from the same server as my .NET and Flex apps. I can see all of them. I don't have any extreme security rules.

I'll ask our Webmaster if she has any ideas.

Thanks.

Since you are going through HTTPS, you should edit index.html in a text editor and change any http references to the serverapi to https. There are 3 lines and they have this string in it...

http://serverapi.arcgisonline.com/jsapi...

Change the http to https.

You may also need to change the basemap. Open street map doesn't support https. So if you pick one of the ESRI basemaps, you can manually add it referencing https. If you reply with which basemap you want to use, I can provide the URL and how to manually add it as the basemap.

Well,  I actually wanted MY basemap, but that wasn't working out yet. One issue at a time.

I'll go with the esri Streets Basemap.

Thanks for the help.
