Hello everyone,
I am trying to set up a geological map and I was trying to deal with the symbology.
I found this article by @RussRoberts [Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! You made my day, but I am also tagging you in case you are able to answer this]
Use Published 2D Symbols in ArcGIS Online (esri.com)
Everything works great until I create my app with Web AppBuilder: The symbology is lost.
This does not happen in Dashboard, and Instant App (basic)
Any Idea?
Thanks!

Yup this wont work in WAB. 3.x clients like WAB or Map Viewer Classic cant read these symbol properties and its only supported in 4.x JSAPI based apps like Map Viewer, Experience Builder, Instant Apps and dashboard.
Hope this helps!

Also if you are labeling geological units check out or labeling font FGDC GeoAge https://twitter.com/rssllrbrts/status/1468941708444549120?s=20&t=Q4pDhCp_QqIkNqvsqygXAg
Are there plans to update WAB to support 4.x JSAPI?
Nope no plans. the 4.x version of WAB is Experience Builder
WAB in the 3D viewer in WebApp Builder uses JS API 4x. I wonder if it would work that way.
3D does not have full CIM support in 4.x
