There must be a way to do this. I think this is a simple question, but I can't figure it out myself...

Currently, my legend is extremely long. I want to give it a bit more order.

I think the best way to do this would be to symbolise/group by two fields. First by region, and then by class. Is that possible? I tried in the symbology section, but it looks like it only takes one attribute and then it has to be a number field?

I don't necessarily want the legend to show as Canterbury - Class A, Canterbury - Class B, Auckland - Class A, Auckland - Class B.

This is an abbreviated example of what it looks like now:

Class A

Class B

Class A

Class B

I want it to look more like this:

Canterbury

- Class A

- Class B

Auckland

- Class A

- Class B

That has a tidier look.

Is there a way to do this?

As a fall back, I could make individual layers and then group them, however the map will live within Experience Builder where I'll be using lists and buttons and then the triggers and actions won't exactly connect everything up because everything will be in multiple layers.

This is currently not in Map Viewer but is in the works and is planned for our March Release. I believe Pro 3.1 publishing will also support creating web maps with this grouping and Map Viewer will honor it in the March release. Map Viewer will also support creating and reading these configs.
