Single Layer to display as it is multiple layers

Hi All,

I am just seeing what there can be done about this.

I have a trails layer that is separated out by symbology. But within the web map and in the experience builder all of these types live within one layer. Without creating 15 different layers with the same schema, is there a way to create the effect of multiple layers so each type: Jeep, Non-moto, etc can have a tick box to be turned on and off?

I thought of filtering but not sure what that would look like at this time. Working on this now. I would really like to find a way.

You are correct in your ideas - The 2 ways are: 1) create a definition query for each type of feature so therefore creating your 15 layers (should be as easy as duplicating the layer x15 and adjusting the definition query). or as you say, using a filter in ExB - the filter would be a multi-selection so you can have all, a subset or no features visible. There's larger questions as to who is using it for what and what you want the UX/UI to function/appear.

This will be used for the public. We are rebuilding it with experience builder to replace the older version which is web app builder.

We have the rest of the layers squared away and wanted the tick box effect with me doing the filter directing to the original layer does the trick.

Thank you for sharing that! I will look into this, if not for this project another.

I appreciate your response!
