when hitting the share button within a published wma an outlook windows pops up with the link in the conversation area. perfect! the subject is also filled, perfect!
BUT; the link is broken just after "extent=". I presume due to the curly bracket that follows. see below the same result.
Outlook:
Check out this map:

how to resolve this?
thx, cp
Solved! Go to Solution.
The app you are using is an older template that we no longer support. An updated template called Map Tools , that looks very similar, is available in the template gallery. The updated version has a share button that uses bitly to generate the link so it won't be broken. Here's a test app I configured to look much like your template. Perhaps the new template will work for you instead?

There are also some features in the new version of the template that you might like including the ability to toggle sub layer visibility in the layers tool and the option to configure search to search layers in the web map.
You don't have to use the json syntax to specify the extent at the URL. This will do:
See: URL-parameters gebruiken—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS
If you have to work with the URL you specified in Outlook, you can select the entire text of the URL and edit the hyperlink and make sure the entire url is pasted there.
I know.
but what's the function of the share button if it doesn't work correctly??
can I somehow override the link in AGonline web application config?
thx for replying!
