Hello boys and girls,
Im trying to find a way to update / save changes made on a web scene hosted on AGOL - this scene will require frequent update and layer settings need be duplciated from a Webmap.
On Arcgis Pro I can see any option to do so. For web maps there is a "Save Web Map" option under the Share ->Manage tab.
Any idea how i can do this?
Thanks in advance!
Sang
When you import your web scene into Pro on the share tab you will see a Save Web Scene button with the option to push updates back to existing web scene that was imported or to create a new one. When you do the save back to existing you will see modified date update and the creation date still pointing to the original create date.
Below is a screenshot from the Pro release 3.03
I'm using version 3.2.1 and when I try to update an already shared scene, I simply get denied rather than being allowed to save as a new or to override the existing. I can't imagine the workflow is as I'm currently forcing myself to do, to delete an existing shared scene from online first before you share it again with updates? I think it is just me too green to ArcGIS, any assistance would be appreciated!
are you opening that web scene back into Pro thats already been shared or opening the original scene pro project?
Was hoping it might be something I'm doing! I for example brought a 3D mass into a local scene in Pro. I shared it from within Pro. I'm also trying to update it from within pro, Doing so I opened in pro the local scene that I shared, added some data (3D buildings and such) then wanted to update, again from Pro.
Your nudge made me realize that I needed to open from the shared web version. This once it opened had the Save as Web Scene button enabled! This leads me to then ponder that once I've shared something, is there any point to have it on my machine anymore?
