Specifically, I’m aiming to have all points appear in solid gray when the map is zoomed out. However, when zoomed in, I want these points to display different colors based on a the word found in an attribute field.
Ps I have arcgis pro if that helps me out in anyway.

One way you could accomplish this is to create a map with two copies of the point layer, each with its own symbolization and visibility range.

Hi there! This sounds like a reasonable option, thank you! On a side note, I would have guessed that keeping it in one layer and somehow adjusting the color based on scale was just an existing feature I didn’t know about, haha! But I thank you for the suggestion; I think it’s the best option I’ve got! Thank you!
