I have a raster dataset that is giving a strange answer when I try and fix the projection
"the operation was attempted but the geometry is empty."
2 questions -
how do i attach a raster file here and
can you fix this problem please?
thanks.
A raster doesn't have geometry.
Zip and attach is easiest.
You don't 'fix' a projection. Do you mean it was defined wrong, and you were trying to correct it using the Define Projection tool? Or were you trying to project a featureclass to a raster.
As for the empty geometry thing, you need to run a Repair Geometry on any featureclass that returns that error, one of the shape's (I will assume polygons for now) is empty or just 'bad'.
Thank you Mr Patterson
It is a raster
Perhaps bad choice of terms
Raster already had define proj due to missing label
So now datum is correct but
I was using raster project
When it gave me this weird response
It is not a feature file
I attached the file
Now what do I do?
I'm using it in a map project w an dem file which is urn zone 17n so it
needs this projection
Perhaps this is clearer.
Thanks for helping.

BUG-000126924: In ArcGIS Desktop 10.7.1, the Project Raster tool ru.. no resolution since it was data specific
There is no attachment.
Specifics on file paths and file names and your parameters used for the tool should be provided.
Tech Support might be your best bet at this stage.
I did. Re download from source last night
Ill see soon if that works
But ill send you screen shots and the file once I'm on my pc

I redownloaded the file from the source and then defined and projected
