(New) Map Viewer | Related Records Now Available. BUT......

I see in the new ESRI blog, that related records are now available in the (new) Map Viewer:  Blog 

BUT, that is only if you are using a hosted feature layer from AGOL???  Really?  This does not work with services with stored credentials?  So, I decided to test it.  Related records aren't available if you use an ArcGIS Server service with stored credentials and added as an item in AGOL.

Will this remain the case?

@RussRoberts Is adding the related records functionality from ArcGIS Server Services on the radar at all for upcoming updates to AGOL?  I see it wasn't added this last update.

It is still on our radar. It was unable to make it for this current release that just rolled out.

ESRI should really focus on resolving the absence of simply displaying and working with either joined or related table data.

@RussRoberts with Enterprise 10.9.1 is there a functionality to view related records on the pop up window in the new map viewer? If not, has this been added to 11.1?

It is in the 11.1 release of Enterprise MV which picked up this Novemeber 2022 release of MV https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/mapping/whats-new-in-map-viewer-november-202...

@RussRoberts thanks. Just to confirm before we run an upgrade of the 10.9.1 enterprise to 11.1 to get this functionality. With 11.1 install we should see an option in the 'add content' to add 'related records' when configuring a pop up for a hosted feature layer created with ArcPro using Portal/arcgis server. Correct? Similar to what i see in AGOL with my data shown in this snap:
