Is there a way to have points on the map show up one at a time?

Hi Robin DiSalvo‌ -

Are you wanting to make the points show up in a specific order? That is, based on time, numeric order, or some other attribute? Or does the order not matter and you are just looking for the effect of the points showing up one at a time?

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Yes, if it can be done by timeline that would be great, but if it cannot pop up that way, I will the next best thing. I think it would really look neat to see the points pop up one at a time. Can this be done?

Thanks in advance for your help on this.

Hi Robin DiSalvo

Thanks for the response on this - I think you will be able to accomplish what you want here through time-enabled layers. Here is our documentation on configuring this: Configure time settings—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS

If you decide to create an application from your Web Map, you might also be interested in the Web AppBuilder Time Slider widget: Time Slider widget—Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS | ArcGIS. Another option would be our Time Aware application

I hope this helps, let me know if there are any other questions here!

Best,

Peter

Peter,

Thanks so much for the great tips on how to make the layers popup in two different ways. Can’t wait to try it out.

Best,

Robin
