A customer contacted us and said our Open Data was showing errors when they tried to use it. I've tried it and I'm not having any issues. This customer uses their own AGOL organization account and does a search for City of Phoenix data. I need another AGOL Organization account to create a new map and try the following process and tell me if you get an error and can't use our Open Data! Here's what I need:

Create a new map:

Name it whatever:

Click the "Add" button and select "Search for Layers"

Use the following criteria:

Add the "Village" feature service:

Do you get the following error? (I do not, but our customer consistently does).

Thanks for your assistance.

I'm trying to determine if this is an ESRI AGOL Org to Org issue?

Your client is probably using https.  If the feature layer is not available over https, the browser (at least firefox) will block the mixed content.

Our ArcGIS servers are enabled for https://

I have not had any other customer complaint about using the data that's why I need someone else to test.

Thanks!

Venus,

While trying to load the layer, I get this message:

Then, eventually, I get the error message that you are seeing. It takes roughly between 30 seconds and 1 minute to get the error message.

I guess I should specify that I was using Chrome (incognito) and using an account that was created for me via Esri (from one of their MOOCs).

I decided to log into Firefox and use my actual organization account and received the same error message:

Venus, I had no issues.  Loaded up while logged into my org account using Firefox 46.0.1.

Looking at the detail page http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=6a7741456797420bbbf0de8efdd547ef  for the layer, it does not look to be using https.

I closed that map, then signed out of my org account, started a new map and was again able to add the layer with no issue.

Did you change it from https to http?  Are you expecting it to be https??

I get the error using firefox or chrome (not i.e.).  It's not an AGOL issue.  For some reason, I can't get to you gis server over https.  I get the following error in firefox (v 38.4 ESR).

And here is the error i get in Chrome (v 50.0.2661.102):
