Is there any way of hyperlinking a folder location in arcgis online. The hyperlink will work in arcmap but when i try to select the link in gis online it does not appear as a lnk. Any way around this??
Hi Greg,
Where is the link to your local file located? Is it in the attribute table or are you adding it directly to a pop up?
UNC paths are not supported html in the pop ups: Supported HTML—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS

Kelly,
Its on my network or even my C/Drive. I can set up the link in the attribute table in ArcMap but when I bring it through to ArcGIS Online and the collectore app I cannot open the link. I was just wondering if there was any way around this.
Thanks
Greg
Hi Gregory,
Links will only work in ArcGIS Online if they begin with http:// or https:// - your documents would need to be sitting somewhere that has Internet Information Services (IIS) enabled/installed . It's possible to do this for your own machine but I think it would have to be kept on all the time for the links to remain active. The URL to your documents would then be something like http://machinename.com/word.doc.
