How to Share a time enabled Mosaic Dataset (or any type of raster collection) to ArcGIS Online.

I have 15 imagery rasters that I need to share to ArcGIS online to put in a web app where I use a time slider to go through the dates. I have all the necessary add ons and licenses associated with my ArcGIS online account.

I have tried many different ways to try to accomplish this, but based on reading it seems like a mosaic dataset is the right choice. I have the mosaic dataset time enabled in ArcGIS Pro, but when I share it to AGOL, the time slider option is greyed out. Does anyone have any insight to this? Am I missing something really obvious? I feel like this is a simple task and I have spent days sifting through esri documentation trying to figure it out.

Thank you !

Are you sharing as an Image Service? When share as a web layer ensure 'Image' is set as layer type.

If you've got time enabled on the mosaic dataset and a populated date field on the mosaic attribute table, next steps should be to share as an Image Service....
