Hello,

I am working on a color ramp using classification. This ramp has positive, negative, and zero values. For the color ramp, I would like the zero values to be labeled as white, the positive values as a red scale and the negative values as a blue scale. However, when I apply the color scheme, the zero values are not in the middle; and therefore, not symbolized with white which is due to the interval size being skewed. Is there a way to automatically set zero as the middle of your color ramp without manually changing each of the colors individually?

For some context, this color ramp is showing the difference between two elevation maps (both are raster datasets). I subtracted one map from the other to show where the elevation is lower (negative values) or higher (positive values) in comparison to the other. I am also trying to scale the ramp at 10ft intervals.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If there is an easier or better way to do this besides using a defined interval under classification, I am open to it. Please let me know if any more context or clarification is needed.

Thank you!

Hi @ats10, One way to achieve this is

  • use Counts and Amounts (color) >
  • Choose the theme: Above and Below  >
  • View Style options to ensure 0 is at the center.
  • Classify to create your own breaks if needed
