Just downloaded the geometry tool from the ESRI website and I can't figure out how to even find it in the map window so that I might see how it works. Anyone have any idea of how to do this?

Can you elaborate? Are you trying to load a toolbox downloaded from ArcGIS.com into ArcGIS Desktop? What is the URL to the item you are downloading?

here is the URL http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=5837d8d959904c4e9142600655a19883
I dont know how this arcOnline thing really works but this is a tool that you can supposedly use with it. I have downloaded it and it is in "my content" but I have no idea how to actually use it with arcOnline. How would you go about getting that tool bar into the window?

This item publicizes a web service that is available for developers to use. For example, a developer might pass one or more points to the service and have them projected. Or pass in a line and get back its length. It is not meant for plugging in and extending the map viewer of arcgis.com. The map viewer, I believe, already utilizes this service when measuring lengths and areas...

Thanks,

Mike
