How can I transfer content from a personal AGOL trial account to our organization account?

Question

We have a staff member who created a personal ArcGIS Online account (21-day trial) to build some maps and content. Their trial is ending, and they would like us to save or migrate those maps, layers, and other items into our organization’s ArcGIS Online account so they can continue developing them there.

Is there a way to transfer or copy all of the content from a personal AGOL account into one of our organizational user accounts?
If not directly, what is the best workflow to move the items while preserving layer connections, symbology, and web map configurations?

Additionally, are personal AGOL accounts able to share their maps or layers publicly so that an organizational user could open or save a copy of them?

AGO Assistant can help with this, under the "I want to..." menu, have a look at Copy Content:

Another option is the ArcGIS API for Python, the clone_items() function is handy for this type of thing:
