ESRI World Imagery and WMS Compliant

I want to use ESRI world imagery service, with a client that reads WMS compliant data.

Is there a wms compliant version of this service?

No, there is no WMS version to my knowledge.

In ArcGIS Server 9.3, you would serve an ArcGIS Map Document which contained the ESRI World Imagery Service and add WMS capability.  It seems that, with ArcGIS 10.0 and up, ESRI kindly removed this capability.   ;-(
