Esri Image Service HYCOM not rendering after 24 hours

Hello, we are having a problem with the following HYCOM image service.

https://oceans4.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/HYCOM_UV/ImageServer

We are trying to understand how to set the HYCOM layer to just show todays forecast.  We have tried setting the date, but it fails to load.  We remove the layer and then readd the layer and it comes in but is always set to the date a month behind by default.

Can anyone help?  We are perfectly happy to update the date information via the api if we need to, but it is essentially unusable as it is currently set up

I'm not sure from the info provided where you are trying to view the HYCOM layer but assume that it is via Map Viewer. Map Viewer will "remember" the starting date and range of the layer when you add it, hence the "month behind" you are seeing.

One easy to way to always fetch the data for the current date is to use the Slider Instant App. In Step 2 in Express mode you can toggle Live and forecast time settings on.
