I must be missing something but why is editing so bad in ArcGIS Online?

Is it only the Web Editor app that has slicing & dicing features with nothing of the sort in any of the builders or experiences?

Handing out Creator licenses just to be able to give a client an option to split and/or merge existing polygons & update attributes seems so VC inspired.

I spend the majority of time in Desktop & Field Maps so this requirement for a simple slice & dice web app has not been a thing until this week.

I totally agree. So many user cases where you want to be able to edit, but not need the whole creator-universe of possibilities. Should be an enhanced edit widget with different edit-tools in experience builder and instant apps.

Can someone please check the water at the Esri Inc office?
I get the impression that there must be something going on environmentally as I cannot for the life of me work out why some decisions are made unless some altering factors are in play.

Map Editor is the only way to get decent better editing tools in the hands of a user but you can't export the attribute table to csv from here. You have to have another app published so they can export a table that they want to format and stick in a document?

Sure, I can lodge an Idea but is this such an outlandish concept that no-one thought to have that available from day 1?

If I just need to get new glasses or clean them please tell me, and then show me where to click 😎
