How can I edit an ArcGIS Online feature service after adding it to the dataframe in ArcMap? This is better illustrated with the screenshots below:

Any help is appreciated,

Hani

1- Adding the feature service to the dataframe

2- Starting and edit session

3- An error appears that prevents editing

Right click on the feature service in the ArcMap table of contents and select Edit Features > Create Local Copy for Editing.  Complete your edits as normal.  When you are finished editing make sure you save your edits and stop your edit session.  Right click on the feature service in the ArcMap table of contents again and select Edit Features > Synchronize Local Edits with Server.

Note that this does require a Standard or Advanced desktop license.

Best,

Kyle
