Domains in AGO

Hi all, quite new to ArcGIS Online. How do I go about displaying the coded value descriptions instead of the coded values in a popup within AGO?

Unfortunately the service isn't publicly accessible due to sensitive information. Do you think it could have something to do with options when I share the service via ArcMap?

See if you can reproduce this issue with the attached data.  There is a domain applied to the District field.

I found no issues with this data as I can see all of the descriptive fields. I compared the two layers and the only difference I found was the following:

I shared the service again with my problem layers, this time without any labels and it worked!! Seems odd that the labeling was the issue. Thank you so much Jake!

My domains I set in the MXD/GDB do come over in AGO web maps, at least in the default web map. They do not persist in Open Data, and that is a problem for us. Trying a work around to see how I can still get this info to users since that is the whole point of why I wanted to use domains.
