Hi,

Does the credit estimator assume that tile packages will be built using credits? From some experimentation, I think that it does--changing the number of tiled services seems to have the largest impact on the estimate of credits consumed. Now that tile packages can be built from Desktop and uploaded to ArcGIS.com, is there a way to estimate the number of credits used when tiled services are generated locally rather than on ArcGIS.com?

cheers,

Greg

Yes, the estimator assumes that you will be building your tiles in ArcGIS Online. If you plan to build tiles locally, you won't incur a charge for creating tiles, but there is an additional fee for transfering and storing your tiles. See this page for more information.

I've submitted a suggestion to enhance the calculator so that you can estimate credit usage when building your own tiles.

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks for confirming that Mike. Based on the info in the link you sent I can come up with a good estimate.
