Hello everyone,

I am trying to change the field name that is shown in the legend in AGOL Map Viewer. I have gone to each layer and changed the Display Name of the specific field in the Fields Pane, but only a few of the layers have reflected that change in the Legend. I'm not sure why some layers are showing the display names and others aren't.

This is an example of it working (Suitability Composite)

This is an example of it not working (Streetlight Score)

I have saved them and tried to remove the spaces. I must be missing something else. The Streetlight Score layer is in a group layer whereas the Suitability Composite isn't, but another layer in a group layer has also successfully reflected the change, so I don't think that's the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Under the Types style you have the ability to group values together. You can name these groups and those will appear in the legend. Most of the time a group of values comes into MV untitled. In this case possibly how the layer was generated was adding this gridcode to the group name. If you open the up one of the layers showing gridcode you will see it has that as a group title. You can click on that and change the name there and see it reflect in the legend.

If you can share your map I can help and take a look. If it cant be shared publicly you can invite russell_jsapi into a group.
