ArcGIS Online: Road Ahead UC 2014 Session Question

Can anyone who attended the ArcGIS Online: The Road Ahead session from the UC comment in on the section about "Improved Mapping"? Specifically I'm wanting to know when the dev team plans on rolling out clustering and heatmap options to AGOL for mapservices points. Mention of this can be seen in slide 9 in the presentation proceedings at http://proceedings.esri.com/library/userconf/proc14/tech-workshops/tw_744.pdf

I can ... what would you like to know?  Development is well underway and we currently plan on adding these features in our November/December update.

Any update on this Paul Ross? I didn't see this update come through in Nov/Dec. of 2014.

In our next release, we'll have support for heat maps, but not clustering yet. This is a work in progress.

If your data is hosted on your own ArcGIS Server as a Map Service, you will need to add the individual layer of the map service in order to draw a heat map. For example, to access the first layer of a map service:

"http://<domain>/arcgis/rest/services/California/MapServer/0"
