I'm trying to find a raster layer that can be used in ArcGIS online that would add an element of 'urban areas', 'settlements' etc to a standard base map showing roads and streets. I'm thinking in terms of a 3d buildings layer but doesn't show the exact buildings, but just say the extent of a built up area. For example points from a file such as Addressbase Premium (UK), but displayed as small squares (3d). I don't want to put a file like Addressbase into the map as this is a large file, but wondered whether the Addressbase file could be converted into an image/raster file and then loaded into the map.
