Hi,
I want to create a web map with many WMS layers from public sources such as: https://geology.data.vic.gov.au/nvcl/wms
I would like to use the new Map Viewer, not the Map Viewer Classic, however the new Map Viewer seems to be incapable of showing WMS legends.
Map Viewer Classic:
New Map Viewer:
Map Viewer Classic in Web AppBuilder:
New Map Viewer in Web AppBuilder:
New Map Viewer (Left) and Map Viewer Classic (Right) in Experience Builder:
Do we know when this is planned to be available, or is there something I am missing to make it work now?
Thanks,
Marc

Hello, WMS Legend support was added in the April Map Viewer update. If you are still seeing issues, please let us know.
Looking at the json representation of the two webmaps from ArcGIS Online assistant we can see that the legendUrl for the WMS layer is not added in the New Web Map specification:
while it is present in the Map Json created by the old Map Viewer Classic:
Just for fun I copied the legendUrl into the new webmap json using ArcGIS Online assistant and it worked 😖
So this must be a bug/feature enhancement request. Here is the related ArcGIS Idea: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-ideas/support-wms-legends-in-the-new-web-map-viewer/idi-... . If you come across this and think it is worthwhile, please upvote.

This is an issue for us, we need to use WMS weather service and having a legend is a must!
Any solution here, is there a way around? It is a really big problem for us.
