Not sure if I missed something in the ArcGIS Online tutorial, but several people have been talking about creating a custom data collection button in ArcGIS Online to be viewed within the ArcGIS mobile app that you can create GPS points in the field -with that you can also have a custom data dictionary.  Where is the tutorial on creating this functionality.  Let's say I wanted to do a tree inventory - take a picture, have the locaiton and put in tree species.

Ryan,

The way I would do it is the following:

In ArcCatalog, create a point feature with domains and enable attachments. Open ArcGIS desktop, put in some example points and configure the symbology that you like. Then upload it as a feature service. Setup a map that you would like to use collecting data. If you haven't yet, download the ESRI Collector app to your mobile device. Now you can use this app to collect field data. This app lets you also attach pictures to your feature service.
