Hi everyone,
I exported an ArcGIS collector point file from my tablet that I have been using in the field to collect assets. Now I would like to view this file in ArcMap or in Excel spread sheet, but I am not able to do any of that. I am not sure if it is because I am using ArcGIS 10.0 and also, when exported the file from the tablet this is what it looks like (esritiles-841564850.0) and when I try to attach it it would not attach. Can someone help with this problem?

Rudy,

Go to https://www.arcgis.com/home/signin.html and sign in with your organizational account. Once signed in, click on My Content, or wherever the point feature is located in your account. Once you have found the point feature, click on the name of the feature.

On the next page, the detail page, click on Open -> Open in ArcGIS for Desktop.

This should open your layer in ArcGIS Desktop.

Hope this helps!

This was saved on to the tablet.  I was trying it before I can start a real project. I even tried to attach it so that you can see it, it shows an error message. it cannot attach.

Rudy,

somebody needed to host the point feature service within your ArcGIS Online organizational account, before you were able to edit points. Collector just consumes a ArcGIS Online map with added feature services, I don't see how you could be able to save a feature service on your tablet, unless you are not talking about the ArcGIS collector app but something else.

Hi Tim, you are correct about that. I have just requested access to my organization in ArcGIS there, as you said, I'll be able to view and export my ArcGIS collector file. I appreciate your help.

Sincerely,
Rudy
